One Park Place, one of downtown Syracuse's biggest office buildings, is making a comeback a little more than a year after it was purchased in a foreclosure auction by a New York City investor. Asher Zamir, who paid $ 9.9 million for the 10-story, 300,000-square-foot building, is investing $ 6 million in upgrades to the building, located at 300 S. State St. He's given the lobby a complete makeover, is building a fitness center and a conference center for tenants, has installed five new computer-controlled elevators and is rebuilding office space to lure new tenants.
