Forty homes in the Capital Region are expected to be saved from foreclosure with a new $ 7.6 million Community Restoration Fund launched by the state to purchase mortgages in foreclosure. The state has taken on the mortgages of 398 homes homeowners modify loans to make it financially feasible for families to stay while also connecting owners to nonprofits that can give one-on-one guidance.
