As of February, 1.8% of Connecticut homes were under foreclosure proceedings, according to CoreLogic, the eighth highest rate in the nation but well behind New York and New Jersey at 3.4% and 4%, respectively. For the 12-month period ending in February 2016, lenders foreclosed on 3,085 homes in Connecticut, down from about 5,240 proceedings a year earlier when 2.1% of Connecticut homes were under foreclosure.
