The Coronado Apartments were purchased at a foreclosure auction Tuesday afternoon outside the Lubbock County Courthouse by Lester Payne, the prior owner. The Coronado Apartments are the low-income housing project that have been run by former Lubbock City Councilman Frank Morrison since he purchased it from Payne in 2013, but was up for a trustee sale due to nonpayments of the loan.
