Amsterdam officials have redeployed a $ 2 million safety net to avoid any potential cash flow issues while the city waits to collect property tax revenues. The Amsterdam Common Council unanimously voted Tuesday to authorize the issuance of and to sell up to $ 2 million in tax anticipation notes in expectation of receiving taxes or assessments levied for the current and any prior fiscal year.
