City Council plans to move forward with legislation that would require foreclosure bonds to provide for upkeep and possible demolition of abandoned and neglected properties as they fall into disrepair. “We see no reason not to implement this policy,” City Manager Tanisha Briley said Aug. 9, although she added that council's Housing and Transportation Committee may want to review draft legislation in September.
