A local businessman is renovating a century-old downtown building that he purchased at the last St. Lawrence County foreclosure auction, with hopes of reopening it as a hardware store. Clark A. Porter, of Fowler, has tentative plans to open another retail store at the former DJ Walters auto sales building on Main Street near the bridge that crosses the Oswegatchie River.
