Cornell Mills, a former Boston City Council candidate, was arraigned Monday in connection to stealing about $ 50,000 from prospective homebuyers while posing as a real estate broker, according to the state's Attorney General's office. Mills, 42, allegedly asked people looking for homes in Boston to pay him thousands of dollars to “hold in escrow,” but instead spent the money.
