Jasper Mayor David O'Mary said late Thursday he had learned of a one-week delay, which the Eagle also confirmed through another source. O'Mary, Chamber of Commerce of Walker County Executive Director Linda Lewis and a handful of other community leaders stood in front of the Walker County Courthouse at 11 a.m. Thursday for the auction, but nothing happened.
