On May 24, 2018, President Trump signed the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act into law, taking the first step in paring back some of the regulations imposed under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in the wake of the financial crisis.
