A lawyer for Legal Aid of West Michigan is accusing Eenhoorn LLC of racketeering for putting its rental communities through a foreclosure process to escape its obligations to provide low income housing. In a lawsuit filed in federal court last week, John P. Smith claims Eenhoorn “engaged in a pattern of racketeering” when it put seven of its rental communities through a “deed in lieu of foreclosure” process.
