MidPen Housing announced April 6 that it has tapped Hello Housing as an affiliate to help it craft solutions to the housing crisis in the Bay Area, the nation’s most expensive market. In San Mateo County alone, median incomes in the past five years have risen just 2.5 percent, while average rents have jumped 60 percent and single-family home prices are up 45 percent, according to Hello Housing.
