Home sales in the San Fernando Valley dipped slightly in May from a year earlier but prices remained above $ 600,000 for the second consecutive month, a university research center said Tuesday. During May, sales of new and previously owned houses fell 2 percent from a year earlier to 1,427 properties, said the San Fernando Valley Economic Research Center at Cal State Northridge.
