Toledo City Councilmen on Monday again searched for a compelling reason to forgive a $ 500,000 loan and allow a prominent developer to sell an affordable housing complex, but none who spoke publicly about the proposed deal said they could vote in favor of it. The two-hour committee meeting was developer Bruce Douglas' latest attempt to win the council approval he needs to sell the property in Toledo's UpTown neighborhood and avoid foreclosure.
