Former workout guru to the stars and star herself of Bravo’s fitness reality shows Work Out and Thintervention, Jackie Warner has talked candidly about her problems with drinking before. “I looked in the mirror one morning and realized that I did not like the person that I had become,” she told Bravo last year. “I could no longer hide the fact that MY decisions were causing me unhappiness.”

It doesn’t look like she’ll be any happier following her arrest last weekend, as Warner is now facing assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer charges.

Assault With a Weapon

Warner was allegedly intoxicated when she crashed her car into a pole in West Hollywood last Friday around 5:45 p.m. When law enforcement arrived on the scene, officers claim she backed her vehicle into a cop car, nearly striking a deputy who had to jump out of harm’s way. Warner was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, hit and run for property damage, and felony assault with a deadly weapon.

“She was arrested and the investigation is ongoing, and the case will be presented to the district attorney’s office upon completion of the investigation,” West Hollywood PD Detective Hom told Us Magazine. “She is not in custody at this time.” Warner’s bail was set at $ 60,000.

Asleep at the Wheel

TMZ broke the story, and sources close to Warner tried to explain her inebriation:

Sources connected with Jackie tell us she went to lunch that afternoon and had 1 martini. She took an Uber to and from the restaurant. The sources say when she got home she took an Ambien, went to sleep, and when she woke up she was in the hospital … with no recollection of driving. The sources add to prove she was “sleep driving,” she was not wearing pants when she was arrested … just underwear.

The celebrity news website also had sources inside the police department, who told TMZ she blew a .08 on a breathalyzer at the time of her arrest.
