While Minnesota farmers face an industry climate similar to the one during the 1980s crisis, they rely on close to the same number of advocates to support them with financial and legal issues. “People say it's not as serious as it was in the '80's, but I've talked to many different people in the industry, including bankers, and they say it is,” said Connie Dykes, one of 10 advocates for farmers in Minnesota.
