The housing market in metropolitan Baltimore turned in its best October performance in at least a decade, with sales up nearly 16 percent as rising rents, affordable mortgage rates and a strengthening economy fueled demand, figures released Tuesday showed. The number of pending home sales contracts also came in at decade-high levels, reported RealEstate Business Intelligence, the research arm of the regional multiple listing service.
