After a dramatic spike in personal bankruptcy filings in 2005, the number of people hitting financial rock bottom in the Pittsburgh region has been steadily declining to the point where filings in Western Pennsylvania in 2015 fell to levels not seen since the mid-1990s. The drop may not be an indicator that all is well in the region.
