There is a legitimate debate to be had on how the city dispenses with properties acquired through tax lien foreclosures, with properties that are abandoned and dilapidated, and with properties that are considered a nuisance to the neighborhoods where they are located. Currently the city is putting up for auction 35 properties acquired through tax liens.
