The Montgomery County Legislature held a discussion concerning the amount of money owed to the county by the city of Amsterdam in back taxes and reviewed its effect on the county budget. Before beginning the discussion, Michael Pepe, chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee and District 7 legislator, told the committee that District 9 Legislator Robert Purtell requested a review of the city's tax receivable to the county during Tuesday's meeting.
