A Florida company allegedly targeted Hispanic homeowners in Orlando using a “predatory” loan-modification scheme that billed them for thousands of dollars in fees while failing to save their homes, the government charged Tuesday. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development filed the charges against the Advocate Law Groups of Florida and attorney Jon Lindeman Jr., the company's president and managing general partner, and Ephigenia Lindeman, its chief financial officer.
