Ongoing economic development and prospective homebuyers' access to financial assistance programs have driven up north country home sales for the first six months this year from the same time last year. The number of homes sold from January to June 2017 increased from the first six months in 2016 in Jefferson County by 89 units, or 23.4 percent, from 381 to 470, and in Lewis County by 15 units, or 17.6 percent, from 85 to 100 units, according to the Jefferson-Lewis Board of Realtors.
