Mortgage rates jump to highest level since February 2011

From Freddie Mac's weekly survey: Jumping 11 basis points, the 30-year fixed rate is at its highest level since February 2011, averaging 4.94 percent. The 15-year fixed jumped 10 basis points, averaging 4.33 percent.The Mortgage Bankers Association reported a 4 percent decrease in loan application volume from the previous week.
