About 1.5 hours before the Republican candidates were introduced, Detroit police cars with lights and sirens rushed toward the Fox Theatre. The growing crowd of activists, there to protest Snyder, Trump, low wages, foreclosures, police brutality and a host of other issues, pushed passed an established police line and construction barrels.
