A former Philadelphia sheriff has been charged with taking bribes in an alleged pay-to-play scheme involving home foreclosures. The federal indictment unsealed Friday accuses ex-Sheriff John Green of taking bribes and illegal campaign contributions from businessman John Davis of Wyncote.
