A second tax lien sale has generated an additional $ 593,888 immediately for Columbiana County from about 400 people and businesses who chose to pay up rather than have their properties sold to a collection agency. The results were announced by Columbiana County Treasurer Linda Bolon, who launched the county’s first-ever tax lien sale last year, which generated $ 1.18 million – $ 622,502 in delinquent property tax payments and $ 564,591 paid to the county by Tax Ease LLC, the company that purchased the tax liens.
