Lawyer who says she was unaware of her suspension for 15 years hopes to win reinstatement

Karim Akil, 50, also known as Scott Kinney, was sentenced Wednesday for conspiring to commit mortgage fraud and money laundering, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.
